# Scintilla Genesis DAO - Proposal #1 ## Proposal Summary This proposal is to extend the development support from Scintilla Labs to the Scintilla Genesis DAO for 1 year. The Scintilla Labs DAO also requests a budget of 540k SCT to cover operational costs. ## Proposal Details The Scintilla Network has charged the Scintilla Labs DAO to ensure the development of the core clusters of the Scintilla Network and ensure coordination with all the other DAOs awaiting the launch of the network. The Scintilla Labs DAO wishes to extend its support for another year to ensure the development of the core clusters and to ensure the network has set an entity able to represent the network (trust, foundation, etc.). Within this period, the Scintilla Labs DAO want to improve the differents outlets of the network, including the website, the documentation, the communication, and the community management. We also want to ensure the system continue to be developed and maintained, as many features are still to be implemented. The Scintilla Labs also wishes to be a liaison partner with other DAOs and entities that wish to join the network and continue the relationship we have built with external parties. Internally to the Scintilla Labs, we will form a on-call team dedicated at the service of other DAOs and entities that wish to join the network. Finally, Scintilla Labs proposes to lead the OSS efforts on `core.banking`, `core.identity`, `core.drive`, `core.documents` clusters, and starts the specification for the `core.messaging` module, for at-most until the completion of the handover to the community. ## Proposal Funding With this proposal, the Scintilla Labs DAO requests an initial budget of 740k SCT to cover the operational costs of the DAO. We estimate the following distribution of the budget: - 240k SCT as budget to fund the development of the core clusters. - 200k SCT as initial budget to help to extend the DAO's team and to cover other operational costs. - 300k SCT for prior cost toward launch, and as brands/payments escrow until the handover to the Scintilla Trust. Total budget requested: 740k SCT. This proposal is to be voted by the Scintilla DAO members.
